Once you reach the top, you instantly feel a nice breeze before seeing the any of the awesome views. You are able to reach the handrails on both sides, and can stop at each of 6 landings for a rest if needed. The climb wasn't nearly as bad as we figured. The woman at the register was a pistol! Very sweet woman who really enjoyed her job and meeting people, asking everyone where they were from and encouraging everyone to sign the visitors book. The gift shop had the usual items.knick knacks, t-shirts, postcards, refridgerator magnets, etc. The small museum offered up the history of the building with many very old photos. On our visit there earlier this week, we finally decided to try the climb to the top of the lighthouse.
